someday is a promise

never met.

a day that's planned

but never happens.

someday is

a generous word.

it’s filled with

more plans than others.

someday is the day

you plan regret.

the visit never made.

the letter never written.

of all the days

in the week-

someday is the day

that never checks the calendar.
