The Bible in the Square
The Bible in the square
has been preaching all day,
the wind lifting
its pages in praise
as the trees bow in prayer.
The table, a strange location—
absent of walls and doors—
stands open to anyone
wanting to rest
in His presence.
But do they?
Does anyone?
Oh, they do.
The ones less fortunate,
most often—
cast aside and unwelcome
from buildings that preach His name.
They seek refuge here,
in this garden, so to speak,
where no one asks them to leave,
and the Word sits quietly,
its pages turning in the wind
sharing the Gospel
with anyone
who will listen.
